FEEDBACK CLOSES ABOUT THE SEARCH FOR A NEW SUPERINTENDENT
Issues to talk about

The underlying goal of Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter is to disrupt our societies traditional institutions, including the nuclear family and religion.

These images are obviously oriented at young children.

They plan prison space by calculating how many kids can-and cannot- read by 4th grade. SKPS test scores have been declining for the past 10 years but the 2022 scores were lower than ever.

ODE says standardized assessments are racist and that meritocracy, or earning a reward, is a myth.

Oregon created four new laws to deal with this idea that trans CHILDREN need to "menstruate with dignity". Well this isn't it! This was a big bro-ha-ha with very little privacy and dignity for anyone! Every child needs to use the bathroom that corresponds to their biological sex. Period!

2022 Spring Pronouns buttons were handed out at school, sometimes 2-3 at a time because identity is" fluid".

Although some activists continue to claim harm from a SK "school to prison pipeline" there is no such pipeline in SKPS District according to data collected prior to Spring, 2021, just before the School Resource Officers were cancelled. Since that time "restorative practices" have taken over discipline and the result has been chaos and increased bullying and disciplinary incidents as students are not being held accountable.

No one wins if the most anyone can achieve is the success of the lowest common denominator. This kind of "equity" kills opportunity and leads to lowered standards and less learning.

Spring of 2022, SKPS administrators were given new policies on LGBTQIA+ student rights that have been adopted as administrative policies & procedures within SKPS. There was no plan to inform the public or the school board about these controversial changes.

SKPS uses Amaze cartoon videos in their health curriculum. They are clear about not having a moral line. It's easy for children to scroll through to find more videos.

Schools were not safe after Student Resource Officers were let go and restorative practices were out of balance, too soft to keep order.

Beware the books that are always available around school. Know what your child is reading.

2022 they were training administrators. now they want to train teachers. By 2026 they will fully implement the new Social Emotional Learning (aka CRT, CSE) in the District. The goal is no social barriers for sex at any age based on the "right to pleasure starting at birth".

Spring of 2022, SKPS administrators were given new policies on LGBTQIA+ student rights that have been adopted as administrative policies & procedures within SKPS. There was no plan to inform the public or the school board about these controversial changes cutting out the parents that had actually been in place for three years.

Gender Queer was the most contested library book last year yet SKPS has it available in three high schools and defended it's role to make some students feel welcomed.

Student were given a choice of seven different gender identities to pick from, including bunnies, kitties, and puppies, or "furries" that the District insists must be affirmed. Every child should be affirmed but not for their sexual preferences!
