YOUR VOICE COUNTS!
PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE FAILING OUR KIDS!
School discipline has been re-imagined. In fact most everything has being transformed through imagination. And it isn't pretty!
Lack of transparency
Parents are side-lined and kept out of the loop
Students are put in charge- labeled and divided
Failed learning & ongoing drop in proficiencies that aren't even measured anymore
Classrooms in crisis. Student behavior out of control
Teachers leaving stating stress is too high and students are not being held accountable.
Standards lowered for grades
Standards lowered for teachers. Standards lowered for continuing education
Embedded Honors; Loss of opportunities as they seek equal outcomes instead of opportunities
IT IS A RACE TO THE BOTTOM
This chaos started before COVID. It has been a steady decline downhill with loss of honors classes and lowering of standards, getting worse every month.
GENDER IDENTITIES WIN OUT OVER PARENTS
Last week, administrators districtwide were given new policies on LGBTQIA+ student rights that have been adopted as administrative policies & procedures within SKPS.
TRANSGENDER POLICIES REVEAL:
The complete disregard for parental authority.
The loss of opportunity afforded to girls who have
no chance completing against biological males.
The loss of excellence with schools focused on sex
while failing at academics.
The lack of safety concerns for all the other students
SAFETY CONCERNS
There have been many reports of SAFETY concerns at school. If you have a specific concern and are having difficulty getting the District to take it seriously, please file a complaint with the District Attorney, Paige Clarkson.

Do You Want to be a School Volunteer or Mentor?
VOLUNTEERS - SKPS is now allowing vaccinated parents to volunteer. Adult volunteer a
pplicants are encouraged to submit a criminal history check online.
VOLUNTEER POLICY UPDATED 3/28/2022
Existing volunteers who provided an email address when they submitted their criminal history form received an email from the District which contained a unique link that allows the volunteer to submit proof of vaccination. This same link can be used in order to request an exception.
Medical exception requests must include a statement from a medical provider indicating that the volunteer should not receive a COVID vaccination due to a medical conduction. Specific details are available on the exception request form.
Religious exception requests must include a statement by which the volunteer attests to a sincerely held religious belief and why that belief affects their ability to receive a COVID vaccination. Specific details are available on the exception request form. https://salkeiz.k12.or.us/volunteering/#covid-faqs
